Therapy

I use a holistic and eclectic approach to care.

I will teach you about your body, the connection to your moods and emotions, how your brain is helping/not helping, and how to use this knowledge in action to help you move through life better.

When you have a deeper understanding of yourself and your behaviors you will gain more of an ability to navigate your emotions and reactions. When that happens, life gets better.

One of the most common reasons for coming to therapy is pain. Things in life have gotten hard and it is uncomfortable. It is obvious it cannot go on like this, but the path forward is not clear either. Individual session is time to develop understanding, gain perspective, and practice skills to move through things better.

EMDR Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

This is a therapeutic approach using eye movements to help move stuck emotions.

EMDR offers a way to tap into the subconscious and process feelings that cause our bodies to overreact or shut down in situations.

 

It can be helpful with trauma, anxiety, depression, somatic issues, and more. It can help you feel better faster.

Therapy with Children and Adolescents

My work with young clients is to provide a space for them to explore and ask questions, to teach them about their feelings, and to give them real tools to use in life. I offer parents insight to better understand their children and ways to support their emotional health.  Kids who feel better, behave better.
